17 Apr Heidi & Ferras Downtown Sacramento Wedding at The Hyatt

Heidi and Ferras came to us with a unique request. They had already had their wedding ceremony in Arizona where they live, but they wanted to have a fun reception full of family and friends here in Sacramento! We were able to do photo and video coverage of the gorgeous event at The Hyatt in downtown.

Ferras rocked a classic black and white tuxedo with a bow tie and suspenders, and Heidi looked gorgeous in her satin mermaid gown. After the reveal, we took the couple outside to the Rose Gardens at Capitol Park where they huddled under their red umbrella for some charming outdoor portraits. It was obvious to us after seeing the two together for just a few minutes that their personalities are pretty opposite, but they balance each other out perfectly. Heidi is vivacious and outgoing while Ferras is reserved and serious. However, she definitely brings out the fun side in him. She had him on the dance floor all night, along with all their guests!

The reception was stunning with beautiful flower arrangements and long family style guest tables with touches of pink, aqua and gold thanks to Lavish Events By Design.  The couple made their entrance to the reception with the help of two drummers and an entire ballroom filled with excited family and friends.  There were a few surprises for the guests and the couple throughout the night including a dance by the bridal party, a dance and lip-syncing by Heidi to “Crazy in Love” for Ferras and a dance and lip-syncing to “What is Love” (complete with the classic Night at the Roxbury dance moves) by Ferras and Heidi’s brother.

This was a great reception, and we really enjoyed being a part of it. Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Elshair!
