20 Mar Lacey & Olivier’s Clos LaChance Winery Wedding
In June of last year we had the pleasure of shooting Lacey & Olivier’s gorgeous wedding at The Cos La Chance Winery in San Martin, California. This was the first time we’d worked with this venue and we were pleasantly surprised with how amazingly beautiful it is. They have over 100 acres of vineyards and are surrounded by oak-studded rolling hills that made for a picturesque backdrop to the ceremony.
We started the day with the men, who got ready in the cellar inspired “groom room”. We loved the stone walls and the overall old-school masculine feel. Then we went upstairs to photograph the bride and her bridesmaids, who looked gorgeous with the help of Trudy’s Bridal, and Angela Womack who did an excellent job with hair and makeup.
After everyone was ready, we ventured outside for the first look where the couple shared a sweet moment with a few tears on both sides. After a some quick family portraits, it was time for the big moment! The ceremony site was gorgeous, and one of the perks of this venue is that they provide the white paper parasols to the guests since it’s an outdoor site. The breeze and perfect California temperature made the ceremony really nice, as well as the evident love between Lacey and Olivier.
Another great feature this venue offers is their Mulberry Grove that’s perfect for cocktail hour. We were able to capture a great group photo with all the guests there before we pulled the newlyweds away for a bit to get some intimate portraits around the vineyard and gardens. Dinner was served at dusk on the Grand Terrace. The strings of cafe lights and outdoor sconces made for some great soft romantic lighting. We loved the toasts, especially Lacey’s brother who had everyone laughing to tears. After some good stories, everyone ventured inside to end the night with cake and great music DJ’d by Denon & Doyle. We loved this couple and our first experience at this great venue!
A special congrats to the Severin’s who are expecting their baby any day now!
